Important compatibility requirements

Before purchasing, remove the original display and confirm all of the following:

• The LCD label reads LA058WQ1(SD)(01) or LA058WQ1-SD01.

• The original screen measures approximately 5.8 inches.

• The connector location, 40-pin ribbon interface and mounting dimensions match the photographs.

• The vehicle does not have a 7-inch, 8-inch or larger factory display.

Some Mercedes parts catalogs associate the surrounding monitor assemblies with numbers such as A2129004407, A2129018103, A2129023703 and A2129018105. These are complete-monitor reference numbers and do not guarantee that the internal LCD is identical.

A2129002213 should not be used by itself to confirm compatibility because it is also cataloged as a complete 7-inch COMAND monitor.

Common repair applications

This LCD may correct problems caused by a defective internal display panel, including:

• Blank or unreadable screen

• Missing pixels or vertical lines

• Low contrast or faded picture

• Distorted or tilted image

• Uneven or failed illumination

• Cracked or physically damaged LCD
