The instrument cluster must be removed, opened and disassembled. The original 24-pin LCD must then be desoldered from the circuit board and the replacement installed in the correct orientation.
Installation requires:

โข Appropriate desoldering equipment ย
โข Electronics-repair and fine-soldering experience ย
โข ESD protection and careful handling of the circuit board ย
Professional installation is strongly recommended. Excessive heat or force can lift circuit-board pads and permanently damage the cluster.
Replacing the LCD alone does not change the vehicleโs stored mileage because mileage information remains within the instrument-cluster electronics.
