The Eonon A0581 Optical Fiber Decoder Box is designed for compatible BMW E90, E91, E92 and E93 factory fiber optic audio systems.

When installing a compatible Eonon E90 Series car stereo, certain BMW factory audio configurations require the A0581 to retain audio output through the original system.

Do I Need the A0581?

Please check your factory radio connector before ordering.

A0581 IS required if:

✔ Your vehicle has a compatible Logic 7 system, OR
✔ The factory radio connector has a fiber optic connection WITHOUT the 8 speaker wires shown in our reference image.

A0581 is NOT required if:

✔ The factory radio connector has a fiber optic connection WITH the 8 speaker wires shown in our reference image.

Important: Having a fiber optic connection does not automatically mean you need A0581. Please compare your factory connector carefully with our product images.

Installation

1. Remove the black optical connector plug from the A0581 and remove its protective cover.
2. Insert the vehicle's factory fiber optic interface into the black connector, then reinstall it into the decoder box.
3. Connect the decoder's ACC, GND and BATT cables to the corresponding connections.
4. Connect the white and red RCA plugs to the compatible Eonon stereo's Front Audio Output L/R connections.
5. Check that the decoder is powered and audio works correctly before completing installation.

Please make sure the vehicle's original fiber optic connector and factory audio system are working properly.

The A0581 is an interface for a compatible factory fiber optic system; it is not designed to repair an existing faulty optical audio system.
