The Climatronic panel must be removed from the dashboard and carefully disassembled. The original LCD is then removed and the replacement fitted in the correct position and orientation.
Installation requires experience working with delicate automotive electronics. The glass, polarizer, contacts and circuit board can be damaged by excessive pressure, static electricity or incorrect alignment.
Professional installation is recommended. No vehicle coding should normally be required when only the LCD is replaced and the original climate-control electronics remain in the vehicle.
