Professional instrument-cluster repair experience is strongly recommended. Installation requires removal and disassembly of the cluster. Depending on the cluster construction, delicate connector, ribbon-cable or soldering work may be required.
This part should not be considered a simple exterior plug-in component.
When the original cluster circuit board is retained, replacing only the LCD normally preserves the vehicleโs VIN, odometer information and configuration. Instrument-cluster programming is generally associated with replacing the complete cluster rather than replacing its internal screen.
Disconnect vehicle power according to the manufacturerโs service procedure. Observe electrostatic-discharge precautions and test the display before completing final reassembly.
