Many Toyota, Scion, and Subaru factory cameras operate on approximately 6 volts—not 12 volts.

When retaining the factory camera:

• Never apply 12 volts directly to a 6-volt factory camera
• A regulated 12-to-6-volt converter or compatible radio interface may be required

7. Connect the aftermarket radio’s reverse trigger according to the radio manufacturer’s instructions.

8. Test the camera before reinstalling the radio and trim panels.
