Honda Accord 1990–1993 TCU Capacitor Repair Kit – Genuine Nichicon Components
Restore your Honda Accord’s Transmission Control Unit with this complete capacitor repair kit. Designed for select 1990, 1991, 1992, and 1993 Honda Accord TCUs, the kit includes five genuine Nichicon Japanese electrolytic capacitors and two replacement resistors.
The included Nichicon PW, PS, and PJ-series capacitors are high-temperature, long-life components rated for operation at up to 105°C.

- C27: 4.7µF, 50V capacitor — quantity 1
- C28: 220µF, 50V long-life capacitor — quantity 1
- C32: 330µF, 10V capacitor — quantity 1
- C33: 33µF, 35V capacitor — quantity 1
- C34: 1µF, 50V capacitor — quantity 1
- May be labeled C5 on certain TCU revisions
- R41/R42: 15-ohm, 1/2-watt resistors — quantity 2
Installation Notes
Replace all five capacitors during the repair, even if some do not display visible leakage. Capacitors are polarity-sensitive, so each replacement must be installed in the same orientation as the original. The positive-lead orientation is also marked on the circuit board’s top-side silkscreen.
The two included resistors may be replaced during the same repair if the existing R41 or R42 components show scorching, discoloration, or other damage.

This kit requires electronic soldering and circuit-board repair experience. Verify your TCU revision and component designations before installation. Professional installation is recommended if you are unfamiliar with polarity-sensitive electronic components.
