Some of these control heads can operate on similar SeaTalk autopilot systems, but that does not mean their internal LCD panels are interchangeable.

Installation requires opening the control head and performing precision desoldering and soldering. The display is a delicate electronic component that can be damaged by excessive heat, static electricity, contamination, incorrect alignment, or uneven pressure.
Professional installation by an experienced marine-electronics or instrument-cluster technician is strongly recommended. Disconnect vessel power before removing or servicing the controller.
