Vehicle compatibility
Designed around supported BMW E38 7-Series, E39 5-Series, E46 3-Series and E53 X5 systems. Selected E83 X3 and E85 Z4 modules may also be supported. Available functions depend on the specific vehicle, production date and control unit. Do not assume support for E36 or later CAN-based E60/E90/F/G-series vehicles.
Vehicles with the round under-hood 20-pin diagnostic socket may need the adapter to access additional modules. The cabin 16-pin port alone may provide limited access on these vehicles.
Computer requirements
A Windows computer with suitable USB drivers is required. The supplied legacy software was intended for older Windows environments, especially 32-bit Windows XP. Compatibility with modern Windows versions requires checking the driver/software setup; native macOS operation is not supported. A computer is not included.
Using the tool
Install the software and drivers, connect the interface and follow the software instructions for your vehicle. Save the original coding before making changes and maintain stable vehicle voltage. Coding capability varies by module; this is not a universal ECU flashing or key-programming system.
