Disconnect vessel power before removing or opening the control head. Carefully record the position and orientation of the original LCD, conductive strips, surround, diffuser and reflector during disassembly.

Clean the circuit-board contact pads using a suitable electronics-safe method without scratching them. Position both conductive strips evenly and tighten the housing gradually so pressure is distributed uniformly across the screen.

Inspect the case seal and bulkhead gasket before reinstalling the controller. Replace damaged sealing components to help prevent moisture intrusion.

The LCD is fragile. Professional installation is recommended if you are unfamiliar with marine electronic repairs.
