Disconnect vessel power before opening the control head. Carefully note the orientation and order of the original LCD, surround, diffuser and conductive strips during disassembly.

Clean the circuit-board contact pads without scratching them, position both conductive strips evenly and tighten the housing gradually so pressure is distributed across the LCD. Inspect the case seal and bulkhead gasket before reinstalling the controller in a marine environment.

The LCD is fragile. Professional installation is recommended if you are unfamiliar with electronic instrument repair.
