Stage 2 Camshaft, Oil Pump and Timing Kit for 1997-Up Chevrolet GM LS V8 E1840P

Plan an LS valvetrain upgrade with this expanded Stage 2 package. In addition to the camshaft and valvetrain components, this configuration includes an oil pump and timing-chain set.

Kit contents

• One E1840P-profile hydraulic roller camshaft
• 16 hydraulic roller lifters, 16 valve springs and 16 pushrods
• 7.400-inch pushrods
• One oil pump and one timing-chain and sprocket set
• Head gaskets, related seals and gaskets, fastening hardware and one harmonic-balancer bolt as pictured

Engine configuration

For compatible 1997-up Chevrolet and GM Gen III/IV LS V8 engine builds using the matching three-bolt camshaft arrangement. This is a performance build package, not a universal direct replacement. AFM/DOD must not remain operational with this camshaft. VVT engines require an appropriately matched conversion; do not assume the kit alone provides every conversion component.

• Duration at .050 inch: 228 degrees intake / 230 degrees exhaust

Verify before installation

The supplied spring data are inconsistent: a .560-inch figure appears alongside a PAC-1218 reference. Do not assume the springs are genuine PAC parts or suitable for the stated cam lift. An engine builder must identify the supplied springs and verify installed height, coil-bind margin, retainer clearance, piston-to-valve clearance, pushrod length and lifter compatibility before use.

Match the engine code, head-gasket bore and thickness, oil-pump configuration and timing set to the build. Professional installation and calibration are required. No horsepower gain is guaranteed.
