It restores the original appearance and provides a comfortable rubberized gripping surface for adjusting the volume and operating the radio’s push-on/push-off function.

Order according to the radio model—not the vehicle year alone.

The dashboard and radio faceplate may look similar across several Mercedes models, but that does not guarantee compatibility. Confirm that the chassis label reads BE1492, BE1692 or BE2210 and compare the existing shaft and knob with the listing photographs.

This knob is not intended for every Mercedes radio installed from 1994 through 1999.

Replacing the knob will not repair an electrical problem inside the radio.

𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

1. Turn off the radio and vehicle ignition.

2. Pull the damaged original knob straight outward from the control shaft.

3. Inspect the shaft for cracks, bending or missing pieces.

4. Align the replacement knob with the shaft.

5. Press it straight onto the shaft until fully seated.

Do not twist the knob forcefully during installation. Avoid prying directly against the radio faceplate, as this can damage the cosmetic trim or control mechanism.
