Flip Key Shell for 2019-2020 Ford Transit 2020-2021 Transit Connect N5F-A08TAA 164-R8236
. Replacement four-button flip-key housing for a compatible Ford Transit or Transit Connect key. Includes one empty black shell with chrome trim and an uncut flip blade. No remote circuit board, transponder chip or battery is included.
Fitment and compatibility
- 2019–2020 Ford Transit with the matching four-button flip-key housing
- 2020–2021 Ford Transit Connect with the matching four-button flip-key housing
Housing references: N5F-A08TAA, 164-R8236 and 5938098. Compare the original case shape, internal mounting points, blade profile and lock/unlock/cargo-door/panic button layout before ordering. Some vehicles use a different remote-head or transponder-key design; this shell is not a conversion for those keys.
Included and excluded
- One empty four-button flip-key case and uncut blade
- Black ABS housing with chrome trim
- Existing remote electronics, transponder chip and battery must be transferred from your original compatible key
- Not a complete electronic remote
Installation
Carefully transfer the original working internal components and have the new blade cut by a qualified automotive locksmith, or reuse an original blade only if the mounting design matches. Reusing existing electronics does not add functions the vehicle did not have. The shell itself has no radio frequency or programmable transponder.
