Genuine VW ESP OFF Traction Control Switch Golf Mk5 Mk6 Jetta Caddy 5K0927117
Replace a worn, damaged, missing, or inoperative factory ESP traction-control button with this genuine-style Volkswagen console switch.
The switch installs in the original center-console switch position and allows the driver to request reduced or deactivated Electronic Stability Program intervention. Exact operation depends on the vehicle’s factory ABS/ESP system and programming.

Important compatibility notes
-
The vehicle must be equipped with a compatible factory ESP system.
-
Match the part number, electrical connector, mounting tabs, button symbol, and console position with the original switch.
-
Some early vehicles use the 1K0 version, while later vehicles may require the 5K0 version.
-
A production change occurred on certain Golf Mk6 applications around May or June 2010.
-
This switch may not fit every vehicle within the listed model-year range.
-
Not intended for vehicles that use an ASR OFF, ESC, MODE, or differently shaped switch.
-
Replacing an existing compatible switch normally does not require coding.
-
Retrofitting an ESP OFF button into a vehicle that did not originally have one may require additional wiring and control-module coding. This switch alone is not a complete retrofit kit.
Function
Pressing the button sends a request to the vehicle’s ABS/ESP control system. Depending on the vehicle and software configuration, it may reduce traction-control intervention, disable ASR, place the stability-control system in a sport mode, or partially deactivate ESP. Many vehicles automatically restore normal ESP operation when the ignition is restarted.
Condition
New replacement switch. Please review all photographs and compare the connector and mounting points with your original part before ordering.
