Designed primarily for select facelift W208 CLK-Class vehicles equipped with the factory COMAND navigation and compatible D2B audio system:

For 2003, W208 production generally applies to convertible models because the C208 coupe was replaced by the C209 generation after the 2002 model year.

𝗩𝗜𝗡 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲

Certain 2001-2002 applications require one of the following production ranges:

• Assembly plant F: From VIN F197224  
• Assembly plant T: From VIN T099898  

Cars produced before these VIN breaks may use a different COMAND unit. Verification by VIN and original part number is strongly recommended.

𝗪𝟮𝟭𝟬 𝗘-𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲

The existing listing also mentions W210 E320, E430 and E55 models. Although some W208 and W210 COMAND 2.0 units share similar electronics and may be adaptable, W210 vehicles normally use A210-numbered units and different mounting brackets.

Do not advertise this unit as a direct W210 replacement unless the buyer’s original part number, rear connectors, navigation region, D2B equipment and mounting hardware have all been confirmed.

• Not a complete conversion kit for vehicles equipped with a standard single-DIN radio.  
• The vehicle must use the compatible D2B audio architecture, not a later MOST system.  
• Factory Bose, CD changer, telephone and instrument-cluster functions depend on the vehicle’s original equipment and configuration.  
• A used replacement unit may require Mercedes STAR/DAS version coding for the vehicle’s model, audio equipment, navigation display and regional tuner settings.  
• Navigation requires a compatible map CD for the correct geographic region.  
• Navigation map CD and radio security information are not included unless specifically pictured or stated.  
• This unit is not compatible with the later C209 CLK-Class COMAND system.
