40W Pixel Repair Soldering T-Iron Kit with Copper T-Tip & Applicator Pad | 110V / 220V
Apply compatible heat-seal ribbon cables with this 40W pixel-repair T-iron kit. The wide copper T-head and heat-buffer applicator strip provide a contact surface for display ribbon work on suitable instrument clusters, dashboard clocks, information displays and radios.
A practical repair tool for technicians working on compatible BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Saab display assemblies. Suitability depends on the ribbon's bonding method and repair procedure, not the vehicle badge alone.
Choose your voltage
- 110V / 40W: Select the 110V option for a matching supply.
- 220V / 40W: Select the 220V option for a matching supply.
Check the actual mains voltage at your location and the rating on the iron before connecting it. Regional option names are a guide; countries within a region can use different supplies and sockets. A travel plug adapter changes the plug shape, not the voltage. This listing offers separate 110V and 220V versions; it is not advertised as a dual-voltage or 12V iron.
What's included
- One 40W electric T-iron in the selected voltage.
- One copper T-tip / T-head.
- One Teflon/rubber heat-buffer applicator strip/pad.
The pad is shown separately and fitted to the head in the gallery. The plug configuration is shown in the product photos; a suitable plug adapter may be needed for your socket. Plug adapters are not included.
Applications and limitations
For compatible heat-seal display ribbon repairs where the ribbon supplier's instructions call for a T-head applicator. Replacement ribbon cables, LCDs, circuit boards and complete display units are sold separately. The application photo is an illustration of use, not an additional item in the kit.
This tool does not repair every cause of missing pixels or a blank display. Confirm the fault and required ribbon type first. It is not intended to heat ordinary plug-in FFC/FPC cables or their locking connectors.
Using the tool
Follow the ribbon or display repair supplier's specified bonding procedure, including any required temperature control, contact time, pressure, alignment and heat-buffer placement. 40W is the power rating, not a temperature setting. Do not assume one heat/time setting suits every cable. Use a suitable heat-resistant iron holder and work surface, unplug the iron when finished, and allow the tip to cool before handling.
